Roofing, Shingles Companies Team Up for Business

The naming of the Clarksville company known as MW/MB is a story in itself.

It was formed as a joint venture between two well-known businesses in the roofing shingle industry - Tamko Roofing Products of Joplin, Mo., and IKO Industries of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Their vision was to build a facility with a focus on safety and a positive work environment, and the partnership was formed by a handshake and a promise - “my word/my bond,” or MW/MB.

The company makes fiberglass roofing materials at its Corporate Business Park facility, which employs about 100 people with an annual payroll of $3.8 million.
