German-Based Company Invests in Dickson
Published May 19, 2008

The land of Gemütlichkeit has found its way to Middle Tennessee, under the name of Bavarian Polymers USA.

The Germany-based company invested $5 million to establish a manufacturing operation in Dickson County, and more than 100 workers there now produce U-PVC profile systems for the window and door industry.

The plant is within a day’s drive of all of Bavarian Polymer’s U.S. customers. It also supplies customers in Central America.

Dickson County has attracted six other foreign-owned manufacturing companies in recent times - Bridgestone APM, Fiesta Grills, Metrican Stamping, Quebecor World, Sumiden Wire and Teksid Aluminum Foundry.
